The Long Reach Long Riders announce their 16th annual charity motorcycle ride. The ride, appropriately dubbed “The Altimeter Tour” begins on July 6 in Denver, Colorado and returns there on July 13. The route winds through the Rocky Mountains where the riders will encounter breathtaking mountain passes, awesome mountain valleys and jaw-dropping mountain peaks. Some of the highlights along the way will be Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheater, Rocky Mountain National Park and, of course, Pike’s Peak. Most of the ride will be spent between 10,000’ and 14,000’ At 14,114’, Pikes Peak is the second highest spot we’ll see on the ride.


Ten years ago, Rosco Laboratories became Behind the Scenes’ first Pledge-a-Product Partner and Mark Engel, Rosco CEO, and staff members recently presented their 10th annual check from the sales of Roscolux #359 Medium Violet bringing the total donated to over $32,500.


Lighting Designer Herrick Goldman, principal of HG Lighting Design and Evoke Collaborative recently presented the Behind the Scenes charity with a $1,000 donation representing a portion of the firm’s design fees over the last year. HG Lighting Design was the first company to pledge a service, rather than a product, to Behind the Scenes and this donation marked HGLD’s second annual check presentation.


Last year, LiteGear designated their LiteMat+ fixture to participate in the Behind the Scenes Pledge-a-Product Program which resulted in a generous donation of $7500. This year, owners Al DeMayo and Mike Bauman decided to take their support to the next level and designated sales of all LiteMat fixtures to benefit the charity. Recently, at their booth, they presented a check for $15,000 to members of the Behind the Scenes Board of Directors, representing an incredible commitment by the company, its employees and its customers to care for their colleagues who are seriously ill or injured.


Continuing their unmatched generosity to entertainment technology professionals, ETC presented Behind the Scenes with a check today for $18,567.19, representing the most recent proceeds from the company’s iRFR and aRFR Radio Focus Remote applications. Since the launch of the iRFR in 2009, ETC’s mobile app sales have now generated over $350,000 in donations. This has kept hundreds of individuals from losing their homes or having their utilities turned off, it has purchased medications or ensured continuing medical treatment. Simply put, it has been a lifeline of help and hope to our colleagues during their darkest times.
